Subject: Eli compiler construction system and Icon

In the Sept. 1995 issue of the ACM Tran. on Prog. Lang. and Systems there
is a really nice article on a comparison between a hand-coded version of
the Icon translator and one generated by Eli. The paper was pretty focused
on the performance aspects of Eli. I want some comparison between the maintenance
effort between the handed-code icont and an Eli generated icont. Does anyone
have any opinion?
